Making a grilled cheese sandwich makes me feel stupid. I either end up with slightly warm cheese between slices of golden brown toasted bread or lovely gooey cheese encased in carbonite-black burnt toast.
I can spend a day smoking a pork shoulder for pulled pork or make chocolate cake from scratch. Turn butter, bread and cheese into a grilled cheese sandwich? Not so much. Somewhere out there, there s a 10-year-old kid who could school me on this topic.
