As COVID numbers continue to decline and people are ready to return to some sense of normalcy, New Bern Parks and Recreation has decided to present the return of its summer concert series, Footloose on the Neuse.
Sponsored by Trent Cadillac – GMC, the first concert will be held Friday, May 14, at Union Point Park in downtown New Bern and will feature the I-42 Band featuring Bryan Mayer. The band specializes in dance/party, classic beach standards, Motown, soul, R&B, funk and modern country music.

It’s Firefly’s Spring Safe Sounds Concert Series. The safe and socially-distanced concert series is powered by REV Federal Credit Union and produced by Ear For Music and Firefly Distillery. The 12-week concert series will feature national acts, tribute performers and some of the top Lowcountry artists.
Seating will consist of Safe Space Squares – 10×10 areas available for each show. These Safe Space Squares are each for 4 people. Plus, there will be 8 feet of distance between each of the squares. Tickets for all 14 performances are on sale now.
