The local government of the Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos) on Friday, Feb. 5, received a total of 2,000 antigen test kits and a new antigen machine for swab testing for the detection of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In a statement, the local government said the donations were given by the Ulticon Builders, Inc. on Friday at the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) Operations Center in Samal District.
“The diagnostic kits are said to be faster and reliable antigen kits as it can detect the presence of COVID-19 infection within 15 minutes with a 96.7 effectivity rate,” it said.
