After the chief of the banned ULFA-I threatened to boycott state cabinet minister Sanjoy Kishan from certain areas in the state, the latter had issued a public apology, even invoking Sarma's name.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has served a show cause notice on cabinet colleague Sanjoy Kishan for his apology to the banned ULFA (I). The banned outfit had asked for the minister's apology after he called its chief a "liar".
The ULFA-I in its statement had also sought an apology from the minister within 24 hours or else they (ULFA-I) would ban him in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts.
