In its assessment of the possible health risks from Japanese food imports, Britain has concluded that removing the import restrictions would not affect consumers in the country.
The Japanese government and the U.N. nuclear watchdog agreed on the matter at an online meeting between industry minister Koichi Hagiuda and IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi on Friday.
Starting Nov. 30, the village will allow residents to come back and stay in a special reconstruction promotion area set up in the village in preparation for their permanent return.
