Russia is holding at least 25 Ukrainian journalists prisoner, Ukrinform reported on Nov. 9, citing Serhii Tomilenko, the president of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).
Search requests in Russia for "assisting (the war)" on Russia's search engine giant Yandex were seven times higher in October 2023 than last year, Ukrinform reported on Nov. 1, citing the Brand Ukraine organization.
These facilities, posing as "rehabilitation institutions," are part of Moscow's strategy to eradicate the Ukrainian identity and turn Ukrainian children against their own homeland, human rights expert Kateryna Rashevska said at a round table discussion hosted by Ukrinform.
Health Minister Viktor Liashko linked this development to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing full-scale war with Russia, which had a negative effect on early detection and screening of serious diseases.
"One of the main needs that veterans have now is housing. This year, 2,400 families will be provided with housing," Veterans' Affairs Minister Yuliia Laputina said.
