ivan watson spoke with injured ukrainian soldiers inside one hospital. we will not name it or the city it is in for fear they could be attacked. reporter: shattered bodies in the intensive care unit of a ukrainian hospital. some war wounds are so catastrophic, they need machines to breathe. these deeply uncomfortable images, a glimpse of the physical toll this war is taking on soldiers and civilians. the general director of the hospital says after the first couple of days of this new war, at least 30 medical personnel resigned because of just the trauma of seeing these kinds of injuries up close. a soldier named yuri wants to communicate. he can t speak because he s still on a ventilator. he has regained consciousness after 11 days in a coma.
