Over 1,300 schools in government-held areas of Ukraine have been completely destroyed since Russia s invasion in 2022, according to UNICEF. Additionally, over half of the children whose families have fled to seven countries due to the conflict are not enrolled in national education.
Four young Russians have been interviewed by Reuters to discuss how their lives have been affected by what the Kremlin calls its “special military operation” in Ukraine.
