Speaking during the condolence visit, on Friday, Ikpeazu further said the death of Chief Ukpai was a personal loss to him, the PDP political family and Abia State as a whole.
“The suddenness of the death made it impossible for any kind of help to come from anyone, stressing that what came upon Chief Ukpai was well beyond any human intervention.”
The Governor advised the widow and children of the Late Deputy Chief of Staff to accept the difficult reality and take solace from the good life he lived.

World Bank to spend N27bn on road infrastructure in Aba

The World Bank has released a whopping N27 billion for rebuilding of road infrastructure in Aba the economic live wire of the state.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu disclosed this Sunday while speaking at the 2021 Convention & 20 Million Naira Visual Studio Fund Launch of The Presbyterian Church Of Nigeria, Aba Presbytery held at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, First Aba Parish, No 1 Azikiwe Road Aba.
He identified the roads where the largess would be deployed to include: Port Harcourt Road, Ngwa Road, Ohanku and roads around Ndiegoro.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has assured the residents of Aba that three major roads in the city, Port Harcourt Road, Ngwa Road, Ohanku Road as well as Ndiegoro, will soon wear a new look as his administration is committed to the total rebuilding of infrastructure in the town.
The governor was speaking at the 2021 Convention and N20 Million Visual Studio Fund Launch of The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Aba Presbytery held at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, First Aba Parish, on Sunday, contended that getting Aba right in terms of infrastructure is getting the economy of the Old Eastern Region, including the West African sub-region fixed.

Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has said his administration, working in conjunction with the World Bank would spend N27b to rehabilitate some roads in Aba.
The roads include Port Harcourt, Ngwa, Ohanku and roads around Ndiegoro.
Ikpeazu disclosed this while speaking at the 2021 Convention and N20m Visual Studio Fund Launch of The Presbyterian Church Of Nigeria, Aba Presbytery held at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, First Aba Parish, No 1 Azikiwe Road Aba.
Ikpeazu revealed that there was plan to construct a 5.5 killometre tunnel to take storm water from Ndiegoro to the Aba River to permanently tackle the problem of flooding which has been major challenge confronting those areas.
