The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has raised concerns over the integrity of upcoming repolls in six polling stations, citing past instances of voter suppression and electoral malpractice.
Voting at four polling stations in Ukhrul assembly segment, and one each in Chingai assembly seat in Ukhrul and Karong in Senapati was declared null and void and repolling will be conducted on April 30.
The Manipur Congress had written to the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur urging for repolling in 19 polling stations in several constituencies following allegations of election irregularities during the second phase of the Lok Sabha Election in Outer Manipur.
