The United Kingdom’s defence ministry is considering deploying soldiers to Ukraine, amidst the ongoing war, for training. Reportedly, the move was suggested to reduce Ukraine’s dependence on the military bases of the UK and other NATO nations.
The British Ministry of Defense has admitted that hundreds of UK Army tanks and armored vehicles could contain asbestos, a potentially hazardous material banned in the UK. Some of those tanks have likely been sent to Ukraine.
The UK Ministry of Defense reportedly admitted that some 2,699 pieces of military hardware owned by the British Army – including 324 “Challenger 2 tanks, versions of which were sent to Ukraine” – contained “potentially deadly asbestos containing materials.”
The UK Defense Ministry has yet to spend hundreds of millions of pounds allocated for Kiev in a low-bureaucracy fund set by the ministry, due to delays, missed deadlines and zero communication with bidders.
The Ukrainian military is prepared to use the United Kingdom s long-range missiles to hit Crimea if these are provided in military aid, a British newspaper reported, citing Ukrainian defense sources.
