Cash worth Rs 1.16 crore has been seized so far by 756 flying squads operating in the state for monitoring and control of election expenditure, Bharathi stated during a press briefing Wednesday.
The Ankleshwar police in Gujarat’s Bharuch district said they did not find ‘any religious activities’ at the meeting held on Tuesday evening. The police have launched a probe into the incident.
Speaking with The Indian Express, inspector Y B Gohil said, “The accused, Prashant Sitaram Bhoye, earlier worked with Singhanpore police station. It was during that time that he came in contact with the deceased and they became friends that later turned into a relationship."
