Eastern Cape man arrested for mom’s murder Updated

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of his 56-year-old mother in Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape.
The suspect was caught at the crime scene on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Gerda Swart says officers attended to a complaint of assault at the house in McCarthy informal settlement.
A woman was found with an open wound to her head and she was declared dead on the scene.
