Internist Dr. Michael Hirt joins Hal to talk about the surge of positive COVID-19 patients. Dr. Hirt says that there appears to have been a change in the virus during the summer. He says that by October, it was proving harder to get patients better. He calls it COVID 3.0 and he says it requires more time, more medication and more effort to get patients better.
He says that in his 25 year career this is the worst experience. He says medical professionals are sometimes working 7 days a week to get patients better. He says his staff is beyond stretched at this point.
that. it s so early. funny to watch everybody bicker, yell, tear everybody apart this far out. granted now, getting down to it, but they ve already been through a fistfight. go lord. i don t watch early on like this. it s too ridiculous. peter, congratulations. it s important that you told this story. i know you re in demand. you could go do a big hollywood $400 million picture. i have to believe this was a labor of love for you? my two fellow executive producers are both veterans one an ex-navy s.e.a.l. one an ex-army ranger and did 90% of the heavy lifting on this. it was remarkable to see veteran whose can really identified what they wanted to do and did an outstanding job, and hopefully, you know, another aspect that this show, an aspect of this whole big situation we re able to shed light on, making sure we don t forget that these men and women are coming home, trying to reassimilate into civilian life
