UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Muhammad delivered three very good female bouts. Fans got to see former Invicta champ Jinh Yu Frey get her first UFC victory. They also witnessed a great fight between JJ Aldrich and Cortney Casey, plus a beautiful and dominant performance by Angela Hill. Let’s take a look at these fights.
Jinh Yu Frey vs. Gloria de Paula
Frey beat de Paula via unanimous decision, but she did not fight the fight I expected. While I thought takedowns might be an option, I did not expect them to be Frey’s main focus. I am happy to have been wrong, though.

To say that the UFC Vegas 21 main event didn’t go the way that Belal Muhammad intended would be a massive understatement. He didn’t lose the fight, but it ended in a no contest and him making a trip to the hospital.
Though Leon Edwards took the fight to Muhammad in the first round, he withstood several hard shots and head kicks from the no. 3 ranked UFC welterweight. Not only that, but Muhammad answered with a few decent punches of his own.
But in the second round, just as things were starting to heat up, Edwards accidentally poked Muhammad in the eye.

Leon Edwards was out of the fight game for almost two years, but was poised to earn a title shot at UFC Vegas 21 on Saturday night. The fight didn’t go anywhere near the way he hoped, and likely left his bid for a shot at welterweight champion Kamaru Usman unfulfilled.
Edwards and Muhammad were both throwing with intent straight out of the gate. It was Edwards that landed the first hard shots. But it was a couple head kicks midway through the round that rocked Muhammad, who was briefly on wobbly legs.
UFC Vegas 21 bonuses all go to knockout artists

Though the event was overshadowed by two no contest, including the Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad main event, several blistering knockouts were enough to take home all the UFC Vegas 21 bonuses on Saturday in Las Vegas.
There was no Fight of the Night awarded. Officials instead opted to hand out four Performance of the Night bonuses worth $50,000 each.

In just his second UFC bout, Matthew Semelsberger opened the UFC Vegas 21 prelims with a bang, literally.
He knocked out Jason Witt just 16 seconds into the fight.
