“Every day it should be crowded,” Wehbe said. “We have so many people calling and emailing and Facebooking and messaging (us saying), ‘When do you open? Can we make reservations? Can we see a menu?’”
Only the bottom floor of the restaurant about 75 percent of it is scheduled to open Aug. 11. The upper floor including the rooftop Visors Tailgate Bar is scheduled to open Sept. 1 as college football season kicks into gear, Wehbe said.
The first floor includes the bulk of the restaurant including the main dining room, a full bar and a podcast booth for sports shows.
It also has private dining rooms. The largest, which seats up to 50, adjoins a collection of UF sports memorabilia to include Spurrier s Heisman Trophy and collection of iconic visors.
