Hijab-wearing students in Karnataka denied entry in college by principal - WATCH - Students in a Karnataka college were stopped at the gate by the principal for wearing a hijab, as per a video released by ANI.
The school administration held a meeting with protesting students and their parents and informed them that students would not be allowed to enter classrooms with hijabs until the government committee submits its report on the subject.
Minister of Primary and Secondary Education of Karnataka BC Nagesh said that there had been no problem with the uniform in the Udupi government college since 1985. He said that the girls had been instigated now.
