Users in Rajkot are expressing disappointment over the non-extension of six main trains. Despite the completion of the railway double track between Rajkot and Ahmedabad, the railway ministry has not taken any action. The issue was raised in a meeting of the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) by stakeholders, including the Rajkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). The lack of amenities on platforms 4 and 5, including coach indicators, lifts, escalators, sheds, and catering stalls, has also been highlighted. The meeting also discussed the extension of the Hapa-Mumbai Duronto to Jamnagar and the Jamnagar-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat train to Udhna in Surat.
