Budget 2022: The second part of the Parliament's Budget session begins today. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present the budget for Jammu and Kashmir in Lok Sabha. The government has also listed the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill for consideration and passing in the Lok Sabha. The Opposition, on the other hand, is set to corner the government on a range of issues, including rising unemployment, a reduction in the interest rate on employees' provident fund and the evacuation of Indians stranded in war-hit Ukraine.
The announcement of Union Budget 2022 days before assembly elections in five states is likely to play a big role in how the government announces its spending plan for FY23.
