Nearly 60 had faced potential discipline, even expulsion, over a protest in May at an alumni awards event in La Jolla, and three were arrested in June on suspicion of vandalizing campus property.
After months of protests and negotiations, the University of California agreed drop threats to charge student union organizers with felony vandalism for writing union slogans on campus property now that the union has accepted accountability for violating university policy.
The university will also not pursue any further legal action against three student workers arrested earlier this year for allegedly vandalizing campus property.
Student misconduct charges have been dropped against 59 UC San Diego student workers who faced potential expulsion over to their alleged involvement in a protest.
