Global chip-maker Qualcomm has unveiled Wi-Fi 7-capable chipsets as a part of its new "Immersive Home Platform", which are built to support the latest high-speed broadband connections and an array of high-performance devices.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is built on Samsung s 4nm process, whereas the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ will be based on the Taiwan-based TSMC s 4nm semiconductor fabrication process.
Qualcomm, the chip industry tipster asserts that the possibly accelerated timeline for the new chipset may not be unconnected with the progress made by MediaTek in the field.
