UA Little Rock Creates Special Fund to Help Graduating Students Purchase Cap and Gowns

News No Comments The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has created a special fund for graduating students who need assistance to purchase a cap and gown.  “With so much going on in the world right now, taking time to celebrate is essential,” said Samantha Wiley, director of annual giving. “For our students, that includes the ability to participate in commencement this spring. We want to help our students cover the cost of their cap, gown, and tassel this year so they can commemorate this milestone properly.” The cost of a cap and gown for an undergraduate student is $55.57 and $100.26 for a graduate student.

Show Your Support for UA Little Rock on March 18

News No Comments The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will hold Giving Day 2021 on Thursday, March 18, to encourage friends of the university, employees, alumni, and students to come together to make a difference at UA Little Rock.  “Giving Days have become increasingly popular for many colleges and universities,” said Samantha Wiley, director of annual giving. “UA Little Rock’s Giving Day is special because our students are unlike students from any surrounding schools. We know that 72 percent of our students work, and Giving Day provides us an opportunity to produce additional financial assistance to help them acquire their degree. I look forward to seeing our alumni and friends’ generosity as we strive to enhance student success.”
