Although imposing public gatherings of more than 5 people under the section of 144, there are anti-coup mass protests still happening in downtown Yangon, also in Manday around this noon of Feb 9.
It is reported that about 30 protesters and the DVB’s correspondent have been arrested at around 11:30 am today during the anti-coup demonstration in Mandalay, after that at around 12:30 pm DVB correspondent was released.

Yangon – Yangon’s mayor, U Maung Maung Soe, and a regional minister have been infected with coronavirus this week and are being treated at South Okkalapa Hospital.
On Tuesday, the mayor tested positive after getting sick while conducting an inspection and COVID-19 awareness campaign at Yangon’s markets.
Another five people, including the mayor’s wife and personal assistant, tested positive after having close contact with him.
