Uzhhorod is set to become the first regional hub in Ukraine linked directly to Europe by a European standard gauge railway, with the commencement of the Chop-Uzhhorod railway construction in Transcarpathia, announced Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on April 11.
