Image: Jani Saikko / Yle A special investigation of Tytti Yli-Viikari’s travel expenses has revealed that a number of contracts at the National Audit Office of Finland (VTV) were not put out to tender, despite their value over a four-year period exceeding the threshold of 60,000 euro. The object of the investigation was to examine the past year’s travel and maintenance expenses, among other costs, of VTV s now-suspended auditor general Tytti Yli-Viikari, as well as the agency’s senior management. The report was submitted on Thursday to the auditors of Parliament, who are responsible for auditing the accounts and administration of Parliament and its agencies.
