Finn Harkins did his best to give Boothbay a come-from-behind win over the visiting Dirigo Cougars but the Seahawks fell one point short, losing 53-52, on Wednesday night, Jan. 17. Harkins, a senior, scored 14 of Boothbay’s 15 points in the fourth.

Run they did, as the Maranacook Black Bears tore open a close game at the half and went on to defeat the Boothbay Region Seahawks, 81-51, at Porter Memorial Gymnasium, BRHS on Thursday evening, Jan. 4. Five Maranacook players scored in double.
Boothbay Region jumped out to a 7-2 lead Dec. 20 versus Traip at Porter Gymnasium, but a disastrous second quarter resulted in the Seahawk boys’ fourth loss this season. Traip outscored Boothbay 23-11 in the second quarter en route to the Rangers’.
