Fayetteville s first rooftop restaurant is coming.
The restaurant is expected to open by the end of the year inside and atop the historic Kress Building at 229 Hay St. in downtown Fayetteville.
What the restaurant will be has not yet been determined. Henry Tyson, co-owner of Tyson Commercial Real Estate, the leasing agent and property manager of the building, said negotiations are ongoing with multiple potential tenants.
While the details still need to be hammered out, Tyson said it will be something downtown hasn t seen yet.
The restaurant will occupy space on both the first floor and the rooftop, which will span between 1,500 and 2,000 square feet. Tyson said the ambiance and atmosphere of the rooftop will be unlike anything else in Fayetteville and will carve out a niche in the rapidly growing downtown.
