The Family Dollar Distribution Center in West Memphis, Arkansas that was infested with rats over two years ago held a hiring event, after it was forced to close.
Over the years the Ministers’ Conference of Winston-Salem and Vicinity has awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships to deserving high school students headed to college. The Ministers’ Conference added to that number last week at Hanes Memorial CME Church where they recognized the 2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship recipients.
