ITV s Made in Britain to showcase Talgarth Mill

Talgarth Mill and its bakery (The Bakers’ Table) is due to appear on ITV4 s Made in Britain on Thursday (April 22) at 8pm. Sarah Andrews, volunteer miller, showed the television cameras how the grain is milled – by water power, before Nicola Craven, owner of the Real Bread bakery made a traditional Welsh favourite from the flour – Bara Brith. This is a traditional Welsh tea bread, said Nicola. We soak the fruit overnight in tea before it is mixed with Talgarth Mill’s flour, sugar, eggs and spice and baked in loaf tins.
