PASAY CITY, Mar. 2 The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has assured the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), headed by Director General Charito “Ching” Plaza, its full support to its plans and programs particularly for establishing a Defense Industrial Ecozone in military reserves during PEZA’s 26th year anniversary celebration on 24 February 2021 at the PEZA Auditorium.
AFP Chief of Staff Lt Gen Cirilito Sobejana has congratulated PEZA for “persistently promoting sound and balanced industrial, economic, and social development that continuously empower our people to become productive partners and integral catalysts for progress and nation building.”
Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Charito Plaza said the agency’s partnership with Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) shouldn't be interpreted as "militarizing" the former.

With these tools, students can now access the video lessons from the Wikaharian series, a show on Knowledge Channel that teaches children to read in Filipino.
Introduced to Grade 1 classes in 18 public schools in Sta. Rosa, Laguna in 2019 through KCFI’s Basa Bilang project, Wikaharian was able to help improve the performance of the said students in tests.
