Back to school Headteachers across Yate and Chipping Sodbury have spoken of their delight following the return of children last week. School teachers had been preparing for the full return of students following Prime Minster Boris Johnson’s announcement on February 22 where he set out his roadmap out of lockdown, starting with a return to school on Monday March 8. Additional measures have been put in place for secondary school students including regular lateral flow testing to help identify asymptomatic cases, prompting them to isolate and help stop the spread Both primary and secondary schools will also have one-way systems, social distancing, staggered start and finish times and increased cleaning and ventilation in place.
