This morning, Police Officials north of chicago will reportedly announce that an officer whose shooting death led to a massive manhunt actually killed himself. Lieutenant Joe Gliniewicz died two months ago and that led to a search involving hundreds of officers. Brad edwards of our chicago station be wbbm has our report. Reporter the question for two long months, what happened to lieutenant g. I. Joe gliniewicz shot to death after he reported he was chasing three men, two white, one black, in a marshy woodland. Joe was my world. My world got a little bit smaller with his passing. Reporter sources now tell us it appears to be a suicide. More than 400 cops initially searched for fugitives and residents were on edge. But there was little outwardly there was, however, infighting when the coroner mentioned details about the death.
