Efforts to add more residential housing in Imperial got a big boost last week when city officials learned a $1 million grant was awarded to the community.
It wasn’t long after Vanessa Cox moved to Imperial that she noticed the community didn’t have a dog park. Taking hers to a dog park in Lincoln was a regular part of her day.
A new flashing pedestrian crossing signal will be installed at 9th and Broadway Streets after Monday’s action by the Imperial city council. The current signal is not working, said Public Works Supt.
