Le Norvégien Kristian Blummenfelt a remporté dimanche le triathlon des Jeux olympiques de Tokyo grâce à un chrono de 1:45:04.
Blummenfelt s est détaché du groupe de tête dans le dernier kilomètre et demi pour devancer deux autres jeunes coureurs, soit le Britannique Alex Yee et le Néo-Zélandais Hayden Wilde.
Il s adjuge le premier grand titre de sa carrière et parachève ainsi sa belle saison 2021 marquée par deux succès lors des étapes des Séries mondiale de triathlon, à Yokohama puis à Lisbonne.
