On a day that was dedicated to giving across the globe, the University of Central Missouri shared the spirit of philanthropy through its own fundraising efforts and the rededication of the James C. Kirkpatrick Library (JCKL), an accomplishment made possible by donor support.
Demonstrating the power of philanthropic support, the University of Central Missouri will celebrate Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28 with the rededication of the James C. Kirkpatrick Library (JCKL) at the facility’s first-floor Read and Relax area. The public is invited to attend the ceremony at noon to hear remarks by university leaders and check out state-of-the-art renovations that include modernized study and collaborative learning spaces, new study nooks, a wellness room, and soft furnishings made possible by the Koch Family Trust.
The contributions five University of Central Missouri employees have made to their community through their work and service were celebrated in the 2023 edition of “20 Under 40,” a special section in the Warrensburg Star-Journal, a community newspaper serving readers throughout Johnson County, Missouri.
The University of Central Missouri held its first-ever “Match Madness” day of giving March 22 to raise funds for UCM Athletics. Mules and Jennies sports teams faced off in a friendly competition for a share of the matching gift donated by generous alumni and friends.
