A young boy has been hard at work collecting toys to bring smiles to the kids spending Christmas at the hospital.
Tyler Grycan, age six, has spent much of his own time at Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton after six open heart surgeries.

“He has a heart condition called subaortic stenosis,” said his mom Tricia Tuchscherer, who was born and raised in Airdrie.
“Last year, he was in the hospital for the Ross-Yacoub procedure to replace one of his aortic valves.”
