Police locate body in Owls Head pond
The body was found in an area where police had been searching for Tyler Gricus, 33, who last seen on the boat he was living on in Rockland.

OWLS HEAD Rockland detectives and officers with the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit located a body in a pond in a field in Owls Head on Thursday.
The pond is several hundred yards from Route 73 across from the entrance to the Owls Head Transportation Museum. Police found the body around 3 p.m.

Body Found in Owls Head Wetlands
Police are investigating after a body was found in Owls Head on Thursday.
Rockland Police told WABI-TV that the body was found by law enforcement in wetlands, off Route 173. The deceased was transported to the State Medical Examiner s Office to determine cause of death and the person s identity.
Over the past couple of weeks, officials have been searching for a missing man in the same area. Tyler Gricus, who had been staying on a boat in Rockland Harbor, was reported missing on April 12th. Police have not commented on whether the body found in the wetlands could be Gricus.

ROCKLAND Rockland Police are seeking information as law enforcement officers continue to search the area for a Rockland man who was last seen April 9, 2021.
On April 12, 2021, Tyler Gricus was reported missing to the Rockland Police Department. Gricus was staying on a boat in Rockland Harbor, and is believed to have been on foot in Rockland at the time he was last seen, according to Rockland Police, in a news release.
The Police Department has provided the following timeline:
The same day as the missing persons’ report, Maine Marine Patrol used cameras to conduct a search around the boat in Rockland Harbor. A search of the shore line in that area was also conducted. Gricus was not located.
