Leon Draisaitl scored twice and Jesse Puljujarvi also scored for the Oilers. Defenseman Darnell Nurse had a pair of assists and goalie Mike Smith made 22 saves.
The Oilers will finish second in the North Division behind the Toronto Maple Leafs, who clinched the top spot earlier Saturday by beating Montreal 3-2.
With his fourth 100-point season, McDavid became the third active player with at least four before age 25. The others are Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals.
Wayne Gretzky holds the record with seven century seasons before turning 25.
“Those are the game’s best players of all time,” McDavid said. “It’s special to be mentioned in the same breath as those guys.

EDMONTON - Travis Hamonic says Thursday night was exactly the kind of result the beleaguered Vancouver Canucks needed.
After losing six in a row, the Canucks stormed the ice in Edmonton on Thursday, dominating the Oilers in a 6-3 victory.
Snapping the skid felt good, Hamonic said. As the season grinds along, itâs never going to go necessarily the way you think or you want. But youâve got to kind of slow things down and enjoy the wins when they come your way and reset tomorrow, said the veteran defenceman.

It felt like we’d been kind of grinding for a little bit for the last couple and it was nice to get one.
Hamonic had a Gordie Howe hat trick in the win, scoring his first goal in a Canucks uniform, adding an assist, and dropping the gloves with Edmonton s Alex Chiasson.

An historically bad start by Mikko Koskinen and some sloppy, undisciplined play by the guys in front of him led to a 6-3 Canucks win over the Oilers at Rogers Place Thursday night.
At times, it felt as if the home team may find their way back into this one. In fact, they drew within 2 goals of the Canucks twice but couldn’t hold onto the momentum.
