Unlicensed and uninsured driver goes to jail on drug charges

Tyler County Sheriff Brian Weatherford says a 51-year-old Spurger man went to jail over the weekend after deputies found him driving with a suspended driver’s license and also no liability insurance. However, Garrett Dillard’s troubles didn’t end there. Weatherford said inside Dillard’s vehicle, they found marijuana. According to Weatherford, the traffic stop occurred late Sunday morning on Highway 92 in the Fred Community. Weatherford said Dillard was charged with both the traffic violations and also for possession of marijuana. He has since been released from the Tyler County Jail under a $750.00 bond and he also owes $440.00 in traffic fines as set by Justice of the Peace Trisher Ford.
