Peel Regional Police are investigating whether growing tensions between opponents and supporters of an independent Sikh state in India are behind a shooting at a house in a Toronto suburb, the second gun attack on a Sikh activist’s home in Canada this month.
The Canadian home of Inderjit Singh Gosal in Ontario province came under gunfire, the local police officials said on Monday. Gosal is a close associate of prominent US-based Khalistani separatist leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. Constable Tyler Bell-Morena said construction workers found a bullet hole in a window of the home of Inderjit Singh Gosal.
