Parade will mark renaming of street in honor of Nick s Kids Foundation Staff report The City of Tuscaloosa and the Nick’s Kids Foundation will hold a street renaming celebration at 9 a.m. Thursday in downtown Tuscaloosa. The kid-friendly Nick’s Kids Avenue Jubilee will celebrate the renaming of 28th Avenue to Nick s Kids Avenue. A parade featuring the University of Alabama’s Million Dollar Band, UA cheerleaders , Nick and Terry Saban, Mayor Walt Maddox and others will proceed from the corner of Seventh Street and 28th Ave. to the parking lot of the Tuscaloosa News building, 315 28th Ave.  After the parade, a short ceremony will be held in the parking lot of the Tuscaloosa News building.
