Two Upper Hutt homes were extensively-damaged in an Upper Hutt fire on Saturday. Jill Webley, from Fire & Emergency, said crews were called to the two adjoining homes in Tōtara Park shortly before 11.30am. The houses were ablaze by the time crews arrived but there was no suggestion of people inside. The fire was out by 12.30pm, by which time the homes had suffered extensive damage, she said. Fire investigators would look into the cause of the fire. Stuff
