THE FUTURE of Christchurch’s Civic Offices is to be discussed in greater detail at the town council’s next full council meeting. The site has been made largely redundant since the merging of the area s three now-abolished council with the Civic Offices likely to be sold off to fund new BCP Council headquarters. Speculation has grown over what will replace the former council offices, with a marina and affordable housing some of the current suggestions. Speaking at Christchurch Town Council’s recent planning meeting, chair Cllr David Jones said: “Speaking purely historically, there have been several attempts to solve the problem of the Civic Offices.
