Two men will appear in court in Barberton, Mpumalanga, for allegedly killing a taxi owner Andrew Mwali. One of them is a prison guard.
Investigations are continuing in a separate case of attempted murder where another taxi owner was targeted in the same area in what police believe is an ongoing taxi feud.
The suspects will appear in court again on Tuesday.
Police in Mpumalanga have arrested two men, one of them a correctional officer, in connection with the murder of a taxi boss in Barberton.
According to the police, Andrew Mwali, 34, was gunned down by an armed man last week after he alighted from his Toyota Quantum at the home of a mechanic. The gunman fled the scene.

Limpopo police are on the hunt for two people who allegedly shot and killed a man and a woman near Burgersfort.
Police officers in Tubatse were called on Tuesday at around 22:30 after the woman s brother heard gunshots. It is alleged that the woman s brother was woken up by gunshots and rushed to her room, where he found the lifeless bodies of the deceased lying in a pool of blood. The assailants had already fled the scene, police spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said.
The victims were identified as Julendah Nkomo, 29, and Rolly Magabe, 40. Police and medical emergency personnel were summoned and upon arrival the two victims were certified dead on the scene. Police investigations and a manhunt for the suspects were then activated, Ngoepe said.
