Updated: 1:13 PM EST Jan 8, 2021 Two Howard County police officers and a 911 dispatcher are credited with saving the life of a man who collapsed on tennis courts in Columbia last month.A 911 caller reported a man playing pickleball collapsed and was unconscious. Dispatcher Joanna Blankenship gave instructions for the caller to begin CPR.Within minutes, Howard County police Cpl. Kyu Lee and Officer Stephen Schillinberg arrived, determined the man was in cardiac arrest and took over performing CPR.Paramedics arrived to continue life-saving measures and take the man to a hospital, where he was awake and talking.Doctors credited Blankenship, Lee and Schillinberg for their initial response, which they said likely saved the man s life.
