MAKKAH The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is distributing 200,000 disposable Zamzam water bottles every day to Umrah performers, worshipers, and visitors during the holy month of Ramadan while adhering to the precautionary measures being implemented in the Grand Mosque, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.
The water distribution covers the Mataf and the public prayer squares on the first floor as well as King Fahad and King Abdullah expansions.
Nearly 20 individuals are deployed at all entrances and staircases carrying cylindrical Zamzam water bags to provide Zamzam water to the visitors and worshipers.
Civil Defense issues weather warning for several regions April 16, 2021

RIYADH The General Directorate of Civil Defense on Thursday issued weather warnings for several regions across Saudi Arabia lasting for five days.
Asir, Baha, Jazan, Najran, and Makkah regions are expected to be affected by moderate to heavy rains and brisk winds from Thursday until Monday, while Riyadh, Hail, and Madinah regions will witness moderate to heavy rains and brisk winds on Friday and Saturday.
The weather conditions are expected to affect the Eastern, Northern Borders, Al-Jawf, and Tabuk regions where mostly moderate rainfall is forecast.
The Civil Defense called on citizens and residents to be wary of the severe conditions, to stay away from places that could flood, and to abide by the Civil Defense’s instructions and updates announced through various media outlets.
