Two County Derry residents have voiced their frustration after a data error meant they were left out of a list of premises due a broadband upgrade under a £165 million government plan.
Both addresses had been placed on the Department for the Economy (DfE) s original white postcode list and should have been eligible for the government scheme, awarded to internet provider Fibrus.
However, when they ran their addresses through the Fibrus postcode checker in January 2021, they were shocked to receive a message informing them they were not eligible for the upgrade.

Two County Derry teenagers have made a heartfelt plea for people to talk about suicide in men to mark the 10th anniversary of their father s death.
Eábha Mullan (15) and Ciarón Mullan (13), from Ballerin, have written about the loss of their father Kieran Squealer Mullan in 2011, when the siblings were just five and three years old.
Ahead of a 10k sponsored run this weekend in aid of the Mental Health Awareness charity, Eábha and Ciarón s mother, Collette, has shared her children s plea to break the taboo around men s mental health.

Two County Derry teenagers have raised over £2,000 for local Downs Syndrome Trusts after being inspired by a Tik Tok video to walk a marathon.
Cara Murray, 17, from Ballinascreen, and Orla Higgins, 16, from Glen, set off on their walk from Maghera and it took them through Swatragh and Garvagh, with a quick detour through Upperlands.
“We started in Maghera and were going to go to Swatragh, but we turned up into Upperlands to go to the Dam instead,” Cara told the County Derry Post.

Two County Derry areas are to be provided with new defibrillators as part of a council link-up with the Mid Ulster Community Resus Group.
The life-saving devices are to be fitted at civic amenity sites in Maghera and Draperstown after Mid Ulster District Council s Environment Committee approved a report detailing the plans last week.
Defibrillators currently in place at Magherafelt Recycling Centre and Moneymore Recreation Centre are also to be repositioned as part of the plans.
