(Michael Sznajderman / Alabama NewsCenter) Two Birmingham natives who participated 60 years ago in the historic Freedom Rides told their stories to an inquisitive and admiring crowd Wednesday evening at the Birmingham Public Library. Two other officers were grazed. (BPD) Facebook Share Two Birmingham police officers shot Sunday while trying to carry out a search warrant at the home of a double murder suspect have been identified. Birmingham police officials identified the wounded officers as Officer Jacob Rouse, 28, and Officer Jeremy Dorr, 40. Two other officers were grazed in the gunfire. Rouse joined the department five years ago. Dorr is a 16-year veteran. Both are members of the Tactical Operations Unit.
