The Prince Albert Raiders found out firsthand why the Winnipeg Ice have one of the best offences in the Western Hockey League during the shortened 2020-21 campaign.
In the penultimate game for both sides in the East Division hub at the Brandt Centre, the Raiders saw a 3-1 third period lead with 11 minutes to go disappear as the Ice scored a trifecta of goals in a nearly six-minute stretch on their way to a 4-3 triumph.

While the Saskatoon Blades won this year’s season series over the Prince Albert Raiders, the Raiders were able to prevent their archrivals from sweeping all four of their meetings in the Western Hockey League’s East Division hub in Regina with an impressive 4-0 performance on Thursday afternoon.
“I’ve been a part of some pretty big wins here with the Raiders and this is right up there,” Raiders forward Ozzy Wiesblatt said.

The Prince Albert Raiders got things started on the right foot on Monday night at the Brandt Centre as Evan Herman scored on a breakaway just 80 seconds into their matchup with the Moose Jaw Warriors.
However, it would be the Warriors that controlled most of the proceedings as they scored three times in the middle stanza to pick up a 5-2 win and hand their provincial rivals a second straight setback.
