Twitter has announced that it will begin expanding Twitter Spaces, its Clubhouse-style audio chat rooms feature, to Android users. The feature is still under testing and will be available only to select users. Twitter Spaces was first announced in December last year and was only available to beta testers on iOS till now.

Twitter announced earlier this week that it was starting to test the feature of voice messages in direct messaging or DMs. The feature of voice messages is being tested in three countries including India. The other two countries are Brazil and Japan.

Twitter has started testing a new voice messaging feature for direct messages on the platform. The feature is being rolled out in a phased manner to users in India, Brazil, and Japan starting Wednesday, February 17. Voice DMs extends the ability to send voice notes as direct messages or DMs from voice tweets that the company had introduced last year. And just like for voice tweets, each voice DM can be a maximum of 140 seconds long. The test feature is being made available for both Android and iOS users.
